Premium Economy Class Refurbishment Completed
On 30th July, the cabin refurbishments for the Premium Economy Class were completed. To date, nearly 300 aircraft of six models including B737NG, B777, A319, A320, A321 and A330 have been refurbished and around 7,000 Premium Economy Class seats have been put into the market. This means the W Class is now available on almost all China Southern routes.

China Airlines and China Southern Airlines Sign Strategic Cooperation Agreement, Inaugurate Flight Attendant Interchange Program
China Airlines and China Southern Airlines signed a Strategic Cooperation Agreement on July 15 2010 and also launched a month-long flight attendant interchange program, further raising the level of cooperation between the two airlines to provide even more convenience and value-added services to their passengers. The Strategic Cooperation Agreement was signed in Guangzhou at a ceremony jointly presided over by China Airlines Chairman Philip Wei and President Huang-Hsiang Sun, China Southern Airlines Chairman Xian-Min Si and President Wan-Geng Tan.

On June 14, 2010, China Airlines inaugurated new direct cross-strait scheduled service from Taipei Songshan Airport to Shanghai Hongqiao Airport, marking a historic milestone in the opening of direct transportation links across the Taiwan Strait.
