China Eastern Increases over 13,000 Flights for Summer Peak
2015-07-31

China Eastern (CES) plans over 122,000 flights between July and August, a year-on-year increase of more than 13,000 flights during the summer peak.

At home, CES has been extending its operation in the country’s northwestern and northeastern regions and highlands by opening a number of new routes including Shanghai-Tianjin-Ulanhot, Shanghai-Harbin-Mohe and Xi’an-Ordos-Hailaer. Internationally, the company increases transportation in Southeast Asian countries, Japan, Korea and long-distance flights to Europe and America with an array of new flights including Qingdao, Wuhan and Taiyuan to Bangkok, Zhengzhou to Krabi, and Xi’an to Siem Reap.

In terms of service, CES not only implements ASR, an automatic check-in solution, on flights to New York, London, Hong Kong and Taipei, but also initiates check-in reservation for group passengers. Also, CES in Shanghai suggests passengers leave phone numbers during check-in for contact in case of special situations.
