TAMECO hangar facility to open in 2019

With the opening of its new hangar facility, the Taiwan Aircraft Maintenance and Engineering Co., Ltd. (TAMECO) will be able to carry out maintenance and repair work on two 777 / A350 wide-body aircraft and three 737 / A320 narrow-body aircraft at the same time. This is anticipated to be the largest facility of its kind in Taiwan. China Airlines Chairman Nuan-Hsuan Ho says that TAMECO plays an important role in the expansion of China Airlines’ aircraft maintenance business.

Construction on this hangar facility began in January 2017 and is currently 70 percent complete. The required operating license is expected to be issued this November with the hangar ready for formal operations in March 2019. Initially, it will provide airframe maintenance for 777, A350 and other mainstream aircraft models.
