China Airlines Announces Code-Share Domestic Japanese Flights

China Airlines has begun code-sharing with Japan Airlines on seven domestic Japanese routes: Sapporo–Niigata, Sapporo–Hanamaki, Fukuoka–Miyazaki, Fukuoka–Hanamaki, Fukuoka–Amami, Kagoshima–Amami, and Kagoshima–Tokunoshima.

In 2010, China Airlines launched its first code-share service with Japan Airlines on the Taipei (Songshan)–Tokyo (Haneda) route. In 2017, the two carriers became full partners on international routes between Taiwan and Japan. The expansion of China Airlines’ network led to an increase in flights to Japan from 180 to 230 weekly. This most recent partnering means that the number of weekly flights has reached 350, to meet the demand of Taiwanese travelers for convenient connections that will enable them to explore Japan in depth.
